sustainability.

pepe&wolf was founded in 2020 with the mission to bring design into your practice or exercise while still being sustainable and highly functional. Both as individuals and as a company, we act strictly upon sustainable and ecological principles because we see no sense in doing it any other way.

As a small and independent business with no investors’ obligations, we enjoy a complete freedom of always selecting natural materials and sustainability over price or profit goals.

Below you can read about the designs and production practices, as well as about materials used in our collection. We divided all our sustainability approaches into our 3 main pillars, which guide our sourcing decisions:

CREATION. / MATERIAL. / CARE.

MEET OUR MAKERS. MEET OUR ARTISTS. MEET THE CREATIVE SOULS BEHID OUR PRODUCTS.

MATERIALS MATTER. READ ABOUT THE MATERIALS WE USE, HOW THEY ARE PRODUCED AND WHY YOU SHOULD PREFER NATURAL MATERIALS.

materials matter.

With all the new materials coming up recently, it can be a little difficult to orientate yourself. For the materials used in our products, we prepared a short material guide.

  • MATERIALS MATTER. CORK.

After many wine producers switched to metal or plastic cork substitutes, producers of furniture and other products had got to step in, in order to create products and demand for cork as a raw material.

  • MATERIALS MATTER. NATURAL RUBBER.

Natural tree rubber is often called tree-derived rubber, natural rubber, or even natural latex. It is the most eco-friendly and sustainable material with a high density, elasticity, and flexibility. As a natural product, it also has antibacterial qualities, making your home a clean space when using our mats.

  • MATERIALS MATTER. 101 ON PVC AND WHY TO STAY AWAY FROM IT.

One might say it's too obvious - because a natural material is way better than the old-school nasty plastic! This might be true for many product categories, but why exactly are the ordinary plastic yoga mats so toxic?

CARE FOR YOUR MAT. CARE FOR OUR PLANET. MAKE RECYCLING AN ABSOLUTE ESSENTIAL PART OF DAILY LIFE.

CARE FOR YOUR ITEMS. CARE FOR OUR PLANET.

When speaking about sustainability, we often disregard care as the core element. Whether it is the care for the items, which extends the longevity or the care about our carbon footprint and its offset with reforestation initiatives.

  • CLEANING.

In order to increase longevity of your items, we prepared a small cleaning guide for you.

  • REFORESTATION.

We want to offset our carbon footprint and use our impact to support reforestation initiatives all around the planet. Read more about our project on Ecologi.

  • RECYCLING PROGRAM.

We are introducing a recycling program which is easy and smooth, so you don't have to think about proper recycling of your mat after years of usage.
